Fonte Aulente is an ancient farmhouse with a self-contained guest apartment situated on
the slopes of Montalcino, overlooking Val d'Orcia – recognized by
Unesco as a World Heritage site for its outstanding beauty.
Dating back to the 12th century, Fonte Aulente is full of history and beauty.
The guest apartment opens onto 2.5 acres of garden, producing
extra virgin olive oil and aromatic herbs.

THE APARTMENT
The apartment can accommodate from two to five guests.
The suite is self-contained and consists of a bedroom with panoramic views,
ensuite bathroom with shower, and a living/dining area with kitchenette
which opens onto the beautiful garden.
A further twin bedroom is available on request, as well as a fold-out bed.
Guests also have access to their own outside eating area in the garden.
Guests have their own independent access to the apartment.
ABOUT US
At Fonte Aulente, guests enjoy their own privacy and we are very happy
to recommend local activities on request.
We are a couple in our late 40s and we have two children.
Michelangelo has lived his whole life in Montalcino and he knows the land very well.
He is also passionate about theatre and singing, and he is an excellent cook.
Alexandra moved to Tuscany 15 years ago and has grown very
fond of the area. Currently she works as a professional sommelier
and wine educator at Select Tasting.
MONTALCINO
Montalcino is famous for its breathtaking views and one of the best wines in the world, Brunello di
Montalcino. It is a hilltop medieval town, with lots of restaurants and enotecas offering local cuisine and
wine. It lies in the heart of Val d'Orcia, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage site for its
outstanding beauty and the harmony between manmade constructions and nature, making it a true gem
of Tuscany. Montalcino’s culture is also very rich with a lot music, theatre and local festivals all year
round.

DIRECTIONS
The best way fo find us is to use the kilometer markers situated on the side of the road :
black numbers on the white fonds.
From Montalcino, take SP45 towards Siena. At the 8 km marker take the first left and you will arrive at a juction with two sand roads.
Take the one on the left, with an iron gate. This is Fonte Aulente's entrance.
From Siena and Buonconvento, again take the SP45. After the 7,9 km marker,
continue for 80 meters, then turn right.
Fonte Aulente is through the iron gate on the left-hand track.
Please be careful when using GPS as several guests have been directed to the wrong area completely. We are less than 1 km from Montalcino.
